Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) for your software

An ACR on the ITI VPAT 2.5 template, for small SaaS companies that sell to US universities, libraries, schools and public agencies.

Why buyers ask for it now

  • The US Department of Justice rule under ADA Title II sets WCAG 2.1 AA for state and local government web content and apps, including public universities. After a one-year extension, the compliance dates are 26 April 2027 for public entities serving 50,000 people or more, and 26 April 2028 for smaller ones.
  • The EDUCAUSE HECVAT 4 questionnaire asks vendors whether their VPAT/ACR was created or updated in the last 12 months.
  • WCAG 2.2 is now also an international standard, ISO/IEC 40500:2025.

Already have a report from us? We can keep it current for $99–149 a month: updates when you ship a new version and at least once every 12 months. Ask us after your first report.

How we test

Automated checks first, then manual testing by an accessibility specialist: keyboard only, a screen reader (NVDA and VoiceOver), zoom to 200–400%, colour contrast, and forms and error messages. Every row in the report says how it was evaluated.

Timeline

5–10 working days after you give us access to the product and we agree the scope in writing. Native mobile apps, more versions and product PDFs are quoted separately.

What the report is — and isn’t

The report describes what we found on the date we tested. It is not a certification, it does not make your product compliant with any law, and it does not guarantee that a buyer will accept it. Buyers decide for themselves; a clear, recent, honest report is what helps them decide.

Only if you can share it. It helps us match the questions they ask.

For example: number of screens, a native app, a deadline from the buyer.

Our agency directory stays neutral

Buying a report from Verscala does not change how agencies are ordered in our directory. Paid placements in the directory are always labelled. Projects we don’t take on ourselves — larger scopes, native apps, ongoing remediation — we refer to agencies in the directory.

Questions

What is the difference between a VPAT and an ACR?

The VPAT is the blank template published by the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI). An ACR is that template filled in for a specific product and version. Our VPAT and ACR guide explains both in more detail.

What access do you need?

A test account with the same features your customers use, and a short list of key tasks.

What if you find many problems?

The report says so plainly, and the fix plan puts them in order. With the pack, we re-test once after your fixes and update the report.

Can we pay by invoice?

Yes. After we agree the scope, we send a payment link or an invoice.

Who sees the report?

Only you. You decide whom to share it with. We don’t publish it or name your product without your permission.
